Rich's Cup of Bad Ideas
Every sales workshop I run starts with this cup. Give it a shake, pull out a terrible product, and sell it to the room: features, benefits, sixty seconds, straight face. If you can sell this, you can sell anything.
Sell it. Features tell, benefits sell.
How it works in the room
One person, one slip, one minute. No preparation. They have to give the product a feature, turn it into a benefit, and land a reason the room should buy it today. Everyone else plays the customer: sceptical, polite, arms folded. The laughter is the point; the muscle it builds is the point underneath. It's the fastest way I know to prove that selling is a skill, not a script.
Eighty-seven bad ideas in the cup. No repeats until you've had them all. Send me your worst ones: Richard@brxconsults.com.
